WOOOO! 2012's gonna be awesome.
So, mum woke me up at sixfuckingfifteen to go to this stupid wildlife park (well at the time i thought it was stupid) but it was actually amazing. Manuel Antonio is the most visited national park in the entire central america and i certainly saw why haha. SO after paying the man for the parking (okay, so everywhere we go there's this random homeless(or so he looks it) man that "watches our cars for security reasons" and then makes us pay about 3000 colones(6us, 7 or 8 nz dollars) to park there) we walked into the park and up this trail to a lookout. On the way we saw heaps of lizards, as usual, whiptailed lizards http://www.helicina.de/cranimals/reptilia/GD012035.jpg and iguanas http://www.google.co.nz/imgres?q=costa+rican+lizards&hl=en&sa=X&qscrl=1&nord=1&rlz=1T4GGLL_enNZ340NZ340&biw=1024&bih=460&tbm=isch&prmd=imvns&tbnid=iRnyJSH24sG5CM:&imgrefurl=http://tripwow.tripadvisor.com/slideshow-photo/lizard-manuel-antonio-costa-rica-by-travelpod-member-dora_and_andrew-quepos-costa-rica.html%3Fsid%3D13189562%26fid%3Dtp-3&docid=t1UDVJbvmsi5JM&imgurl=http://images.travelpod.com/tw_slides/ta00/c94/1ba/lizard-manuel-antonio-costa-rica-quepos.jpg&w=550&h=413&ei=5dsBT-T3DoP9ggftyOmaAg&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=203&sig=112856911557924831054&page=1&tbnh=123&tbnw=161&start=0&ndsp=10&ved=1t:429,r:9,s:0&tx=68&ty=41
whoops, that links a bit long. Oh well, we also then saw some snookum bearsrs whic look like this http://www.google.co.nz/imgres?q=costa+rican+snookum+bear&um=1&hl=en&rlz=1T4GGLL_enNZ340NZ340&biw=1024&bih=460&tbm=isch&tbnid=TskkWd-sowAXPM:&imgrefurl=http://www.factzoo.com/mammals/coatis-hog-coons-pizotes-snookum-bears-crackoons.html&docid=59Ob82A1nJyBiM&imgurl=http://www.factzoo.com/sites/all/img/mammals/juvenile-coati.jpg&w=520&h=417&ei=6twBT-HtBc-cgQedtqStCA&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=172&sig=112856911557924831054&page=1&tbnh=125&tbnw=156&start=0&ndsp=12&ved=1t:429,r:6,s:0&tx=109&ty=56

ahhh! sorry for another long link. When we got to the viewpoint we found, unintentionally, a geocache. YAY.
When we were coming back down we saw 8 capuchin monkeys all withing a few metres of us, which was amazing. they were so close i could almost touch them! and a costa rican electric blue butterfly similar to this http://www.google.co.nz/imgres?q=costa+rican+blue+butterfly&um=1&hl=en&rlz=1T4GGLL_enNZ340NZ340&biw=1024&bih=460&tbm=isch&tbnid=iOBEbXk5drPCBM:&imgrefurl=http://www.realtraveladventures.com/may2007/finding_the_real_gold_in_costa_rica__.htm&docid=OfbHlBPFdiOahM&imgurl=http://www.realtraveladventures.com/may2007/1c5f58900.jpg&w=600&h=400&ei=kd0BT8fxG4Hsggfj1sGhCw&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=406&sig=112856911557924831054&page=1&tbnh=108&tbnw=161&start=0&ndsp=12&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0&tx=119&ty=66
lol ^soz.
We finally got down to the beach http://www.panoramio.com/photo/341045 and saw some more monkeys which came right down to the beach. One tried to open dad's bag ahhahaha he actually undid the zips and managed to retrieve our bag of salted peanuts! funniest thing ever. Went snorkelling, saw some stripy black and yellow fish as well as some eletric blue ones! :) went back to car, had our standard lunch which seems to be refried beans, tuna, chips, bread, mayo, jam, nutella, pineapple, bananas and tortillas...ew. haha went to another beach there called playa espadilla, which was amazing as well. And warm water, again. its lovely.http://www.google.co.nz/imgres?q=playa+espadilla+beach+costa+rica&um=1&hl=en&rlz=1T4GGLL_enNZ340NZ340&biw=1024&bih=460&tbm=isch&tbnid=ylL46FE6mND6UM:&imgrefurl=http://www.wildnatureimages.com/CostaRicaBeach1.htm&docid=JDSrZmZZzy0nJM&imgurl=http://www.wildnatureimages.com/images%2525202/041112-057..jpg&w=600&h=399&ei=pN8BT9OKF5T3gAfcna2aAg&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=157&sig=112856911557924831054&page=1&tbnh=116&tbnw=155&start=0&ndsp=10&ved=1t:429,r:1,s:0&tx=97&ty=75 eexcept packed with thousands of people.
